Titled “Supporting the Brazilian State of Rio Grande do Sul,” the initiative is a collaborative effort between the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai, Expo City Dubai, and the “A Day for Dubai” volunteer program. It aims to collect relief packages, including food items and essential supplies for children and women. Approximately 300 volunteers are participating in this effort at the Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City.
Deployment of Aid and Resources
Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE’s President, the UAE has dispatched several planes carrying substantial aid. The first aircraft delivered 100 tons of food, medical supplies, and humanitarian aid, with two more planes scheduled to follow, bringing the total aid to approximately 300 tons. This includes food provisions, medical equipment, electric generators, and solar lighting equipment.

The initiative has been praised by the Brazilian government, with Brazil’s Ambassador to the UAE, Sidney Leon Romeiro, expressing deep gratitude for the generous humanitarian donation.
