Celebrations of the 53rd UAE National Day: Spectacles and Cultural Activities in Dubai

Month-Long Festivities: UAE Flag Day and National Day

The celebrations kick off with UAE Flag Day on November 3rd and reach their peak on December 2nd with National Day. This period is adorned with numerous events under the ‘Zayed and Rashid’ initiative, paying tribute to the founding leaders Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum.

Highlights: Fireworks, Parades, and Cultural Events

Dubai will feature mesmerizing firework displays on December 2nd and 3rd at locations like JBR Beach, Hatta, and Dubai Festival City. The ‘Union Day Parade’ at City Walk on December 2nd will showcase traditional dances, performances, and floats. Additionally, Global Village will host daily fireworks, and various markets such as Beach Canteen and Winter Wonderland will offer Emirati culinary and cultural experiences.

Jumeirah Golf Estates will also host Emirati festivities on December 2nd, featuring live cooking stations, Yowlah dance performances, along with camel and pony rides for children. The Mohammed Bin Rashid Library will organize a free event on November 29th, with live performances, interactive activities, and a drone show.

Cultural and Musical Events

Expo City Dubai will welcome the ‘Union Symphony’ concert by the Firdaus Orchestra, offering classic Emirati national songs. The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority will host special events at Al Shindagha Museum, Etihad Museum, and Hatta Heritage Village, focusing on the rich history and cultural evolution of the UAE.

Souk Madinat Jumeirah will also feature traditional performances, including Ayyala dance shows and live demonstrations of traditional crafts like rug weaving and fishing net making.
