Dubai Metro Extends Hours for Emirates Loves India Day

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced extended hours for the Dubai Metro to accommodate attendees of the Emirates Loves India Day event, celebrating Diwali on November 16. This adjustment will facilitate the commute for the large number of visitors expected at Zabeel Park.

Event Details and Extended Metro Schedule

The Emirates Loves India Day event, set for November 16, will offer a grand celebration of Diwali at Zabeel Park, drawing in approximately 40,000 visitors. The event will include cultural, musical, and artistic performances, as well as a segment honoring the achievements of Indians in the United Arab Emirates. To ensure convenient travel for attendees, the Dubai Metro will operate from 5 AM on Saturday, November 16, until 2 AM on Sunday, November 17.

Transportation and Parking Arrangements

In addition to the extended metro hours, the RTA has arranged parking spots around Zabeel Park, accessible from 11 AM to midnight on the event day. Free shuttles will transport visitors between the parking lots of Al Wasl Football Club and Boom Village and the event venue.

Cultural and Entertainment Activities

The event will feature free concerts by renowned artists such as Badshah, Jonita Gandhi, and the indie rock band Avial. The celebrations will highlight the rich diversity of Indian culture through various cultural, musical, and artistic performances.

The extended metro hours and additional transportation arrangements will significantly enhance the experience for those attending the Emirates Loves India Day event. This initiative by the RTA underscores their commitment to ensuring smooth and convenient travel for all participants.
